Legitimate interests
Processing relies on the publisher's legitimate interests in receiving messages addressed to the site and improving it.
RECIPIENTS
Limited access
Messages are intended for the publisher of Solar Atlas. Technical hosting providers access them only as necessary to operate the service.
RETENTION
Up to 24 months
Messages are deleted no later than 24 months after submission. An automatic clean-up of older messages runs when new messages are sent.
OPTIONAL FIELDS
Name and email
You can send feedback without giving your name or email address. Without an email address, the site simply cannot reply to you directly.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to processing or request its restriction. Use the Contact button in the experience and provide the email address used for your message so it can be located. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
Cookies and local storage
Solar Atlas also maintains an internal visit counter. It stores only an overall session total: no names, email addresses, IP addresses, device identifiers or browsing histories are retained in this counter. A temporary marker in the browser tab prevents several pages from counting as several visits; it disappears when the session closes.
Solar Atlas sets no advertising cookies. With your consent, the site uses Google Analytics to measure visits and page views as statistics. Measurement starts only after you select Accept. Google may then process technical information about your visit, including the page viewed, device type and browser. Advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled.
You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time. Refusing does not affect the site's functionality. See also Google's privacy policy.
The browser also stores some technical preferences locally, such as skipping the introduction, sound settings and your Analytics choice. You can erase this information in your browser settings.
Hosting and data location
The site and its form are hosted by ChatGPT Sites. OpenAI provides technical hosting, maintenance and security. ChatGPT Sites does not currently guarantee data residency in France or the European Union, so technical processing may take place in other countries.
